Allows the chair it's installed on to handle weights of up to 150kg, while allowing the user to adjust the chair height within the 'tall' range of measurements = 480-570mm. This Gas Stem is compatible with all of our ergonomic chairs.

Steps to Replace a Height Adjustment Gas Strut:

1. Lay down some material (tarpaulin or newspaper) to protect the surface you’re working on.

2. Turn the chair on its side and tap the centre of the base with a rubber mallet away from the seat. The 5-star base should come loose.

3. Use a pipe wrench near the top of the gas strut and twist until it releases from the chair seat. Apply WD-40 if you’re having trouble.

4. Place the bottom of your new gas stem into your chair’s 5-star base.

5. Lift both into the chair’s seat and flip it over. Everything should be fitted correctly.

6. Test the new gas strut by sitting on the chair and adjusting the height.

Alternatively, refer to our manual here or request a gas strut removal tool from our Service Team.

Replace your castors with our set of 5 chair glides for a stable, fixed-position base — ideal where rolling wheels are a hazard rather than a help. Compatible with all our ergonomic office chairs.

Glides are a simple, effective adaptation for users with limited mobility or balance difficulties, preventing the chair from rolling away during sitting or standing transfers.

Glides are also a practical choice for offshore and marine environments, where vessel motion can send castors rolling unpredictably — glides keep seating steady regardless of deck movement.

Why choose glides over castors:

• Prevents chair roll-away during sitting/standing transfers — a key consideration for users with limited mobility or balance issues
• Stays put on moving or sloped surfaces, making them ideal for ships and other vessels where deck motion affects castors
• Reduces fall and injury risk, supporting workplace accessibility accommodations
• Works on uneven or non-standard flooring, including deck grating and thresholds where castors can catch
• Fits all our ergonomic office and gaming chairs — simple like-for-like replacement
• Set of 5 — enough for a full castor swap on one chair

These castors benefit from brake-loaded technology, which reduces the risk of a chair rolling once someone has sat in it. The rubberised soles also help the chairs they are installed on from rolling.
