According to the 5459 Standards, chairs that meet this standard are considered to be structurally suitable and sufficiently stable for use as an office task chair for users up to 8st to 23.5st.

Hood Seating respects that many of our customers need this certification for their tenders, and are delighted to continually add models that have been designed and assessed in accordance with the ergonomic requirements of BS 5459.

All chairs that meet these requirements have it specified, and the BS 5459 badge is shown on the page. All our best-selling Fast-Track models have this trusted certificate!

Our mesh, fabrics and foam have also been put through rigorous testing. Certification documents are available on request.
